BunchesDirect is currently running a contest for the best engagement story we can find. The winner will receive a $1000 Shopping Spree for Wedding Flowers from BunchesDirect!
We’ll be unveiling the entries over the next little while as we receive them. Here’s Amanda’s entry, showing that big surprises can come in little packages.
My fiancé was so patient with me as he got closer to proposing! He searched for the perfect ring and was forced to order it through a tacori dealer in another state. He was in a business trip when the package arrived and I was none the wiser. I signed for the box, addressed may I add to my fiancé from some random person (my fiancé explicitly told them not to have the brand anywhere in the packaging) and took it back to our apartment which was in varying states of packing as I would be moving into our new home that weekend while he was away. Well he retuned home and discovered that the package had been delivered to the apartment. He asked me very casually if he had received any boxes and I said….nope. I was completely convinced he had not received anything!!! In the excitement and chaos of moving I completely forgot. Well he spend the next day in a downright panic since the fed ex company had said it was delivered and the apartment said I had signed for it. Which I denied completely!!! It wasn’t until later the next day that I vaguely remembered a package! I told him where I thought it might be and I was correct. His fear vanished but he was left with the fact that I probably had a good idea what and why he was panicking so much, to the point of thinking about filing a police report! And he was right I did have an inkling! But all that went away when a month and a half went by! Thanksgiving day rolled around and my dad was visiting us for the holidays. My fiancé surprised us all by asking me to marry him right before thanksgiving dinner which is not something he would normally do since he is not a fan of being the center of attention. Poor guy hung in there even thought I almost lost my own ring for him!!! Gotta love him and I of course said YES!
