Who doesn’t love a good romance movie, especially ones that feature a beautiful wedding? Whether the wedding is funny or moving, some of our best sources of inspiration for wedding flowers can come from our favorite Hollywood flicks. Movies spend big bucks on set and costume designs and provide us with some magical results. The rest of us, however, don’t have to spend big while still enjoying these wedding flower looks. We’ve pulled together some iconic movie wedding bouquets, and paired them with our own BunchesDirect selections! Which one is your favorite?

Kate Hudson, Bride Wars

Ah, yes, Bride Wars saw Kate Hudson play Olivia, who ends up going off the rails in attempts to sabotage her best friend’s wedding and secure the coveted Plaza Hotel as a wedding venue.

Kate looked amazing in this Vera Wang gown, with lavender accents. Her beautiful bouquet of exquisite lavender roses was the perfect complement. BunchesDirect bouquet pick: Classic Lavender Rose Bridal Bouquet

Anne Hathaway, Bride Wars

Another bride from the same movie! Anne Hathaway played sweet teacher Emma, who also ended up vying for a dream wedding on the same day as her best friend Liv.

The wedding that was planned did not happen, but Emma still got her “happily ever after” with Liv’s brother Nate. BunchesDirect bouquet pick: Stunning Dreamland

Kristen Stewart, Twilight: Breaking Dawn

Who could possibly forget the STUNNING array of flowers in the forest wedding of Bella and Edward? Kristen looked amazing in this vintage-inspired gown, and the abundance of flowers hanging from the trees and twined into the magnificent wedding arch was truly breathtaking.

Pure Intentions

One interesting movie fact? Apparently it was so cold during the filming of the wedding scene that the some of the flowers needed to be replaced by the hour, according to designer-in-charge Tammy Polatsek. But, thankfully we don’t need this kind of budget to enjoy a bouquet like Bella’s. This clip from the filming gives us a better look at it. BunchesDirect bridal bouquet picks: Pure Intentions, or Hold Me Close (below)

Katherine Heigl: 27 Dresses

In this movie, perennial bridesmaid Jane always puts the needs of others before herself, even to the point of allowing her sister to marry the man Jane thinks she is in love with. But, Jane gets her happy ending with Kevin, the reporter she met while he was doing a secret story on her life of repeat bridesmaid gigs (you’d have to see the movie to really get it all).

While some of the bridesmaid dresses are shall we say, questionable, we loved this gorgeous yellow and white bouquet featuring roses, peonies and ranunculus. BunchesDirect bouquet picks: Morning Surprise, or Together We Stand (see below) with yellow roses added.

Reese Witherspoon, Sweet Home Alabama

Reese played New York fashion designer Melanie, who gets engaged to the city’s most eligible bachelor (played by our own Dr. McDreamy Patrick Dempsey). Her heart, however, still belongs to childhood sweetheart Jake. Melanie may have bailed on this wedding (am I sensing a theme here?) but she looked sleek and stylish while doing it.

We picked this movie bouquet as a fave because it is a true classic, and shows that you can never go wrong with white flowers. BunchesDirect bouquet pick: Fancy White .

Amanda Seyfried, Mamma Mia

In this Abba-loving, Meryl-Streep-starring, light-hearted movie, Amanda shone as the sweet and bubbly Sophie. Sophie is set to marry her true love, and decides to use to wedding invitations to try and track down her biological father.

We loved this flowing, non-traditional gown and the hillside wedding venue (remember all the candles up the endless stairs?). If you love this free-spirited look, opt for a bouquet that is less structured and includes a mix of pretty blooms. BunchesDirect bouquet picks: Puppy Love, or Snow White (below).

Are you looking for a more creative way to display seating charts, place cards or escort cards? Why not use fresh flowers to boost the impact and take your lists from boring to beautiful! Your guests are sure to be impressed.

You could use a flower theme, which would be perfect at a garden wedding or other outdoor venue! Assign flower names to your tables and display the seating charts on gardening stakes in a pretty box with flowers to coordinate with your other decorative accents.

Use a beautiful floral wreath on an easel to display your seating chart with flair and elegance. This would also be perfect for a garden wedding or a “boho chic” theme. If you are handy you can make your own wreath using a foam, metal or grapevine form from a craft store, and bulk flowers from BunchesDirect. Shown above: bulk green hydrangeaspink roses, and eucalyptus.

A budget-friendly way to display your place cards is to use mini vases with a few lovely blooms at each table setting. Try lisianthus, ranunculus, roses, or other sweet more compact blooms. These could also double as guest favors!

Print off copies of your menu, your table lists or place cards on different colors of paper and glue to a simple collection of glass bottles.

Top with your favorite blooms and you have a very pretty display that is easy on the wallet too. Try gerberas, carnations, anemone, or colorful chrysanthemums to accent the bottles.

Baby’s breath, or gypsophilia, is one of the most versatile wedding flowers around! Use it to surround your place cards in airy, delicate beauty. This provides a much lovelier display than simply setting out the same cards.

Instead of a regular printed chart, consider using a mirror! Write out your table settings and frame the mirror with fresh flowers or a gorgeous floral garland like this one!

1. Rose petals on the aisle don’t have to be one color scattered along a traditional white runner as you see at so many events. Feel free to mix it up!

Create a dramatic ombré effect with gradients of colored rose petals, or mix complimentary colors for vibrant impact. Check our Pinterest page for more Creative Rose Petal Ideas.

2. Your bridal bouquet is a perfect place to add a very personal touch, such as a family heirloom.

You could add an antique brooch, locket, war medal, small framed photo, or a vintage coin—anything goes if it is meaningful to you and to scale with the flowers.

You could also serve signature cocktails that have edible flowers either frozen in ice cubes, or added to the swizzle stick for a truly gorgeous garnish.

5.. Use floral crowns in creative ways too! Make a  crown or pretty garland (Check out our Blog to find out how to DIY your own Floral Crown) and adorn your wedding pets!

You could use floral crowns or floral accents on statues as well, for a memorable and unique touch that is sure to create some smiles as the guests arrive.

6.. Suspend flowers, such as calla lilies, from lighting fixtures for a very dramatic look. You could also tuck mini calla lilies into each guest napkin to echo the theme.

7. Mix your flower colors to create vivid impact with your table settings. Don’t feel you have to stick to one color of flower for your centerpieces and accents. Selecting contrasting colors can add a big visual punch that makes your table a lot more memorable and unique.

8. Same rule applies for your bridesmaid bouquets! There is no hard and fast “rule” that says they all have to match. You can express your own creativity by mixing flower colors to create a more creative palette.

Four Seasons LA Amy & Stuart Photography

1. Use bouquets as a floral display or centerpiece at the reception. At the Four Seasons in Los Angeles, Mindy used simple bridal bouquets and artfully displayed them in glass vases of various shapes. Keep your flowers all one color and the vases clear to make this display work despite the different flower types and vase shapes. White lisianthus, hydrangeas, orchids or mini calla lilies would all provide the elegant impact. All these blooms are available in bulk at BunchesDirect so you can make your own bouquet arrangement just like Mindy’s. We also provide you with ready-made bouquets for added stress relief. Try Classic White Hydrangea bouquets, for example, and you are ready to go!

2. Centerpieces don’t have to be elaborate to have a lot of “wow” factor. These gorgeous centerpieces were also made for the Four Seasons LA, out of artfully arranged calla lilies and beautiful white roses twined over a glass candelabra. Simple, but so stylish!

Four Seasons Biltmore Figge Studio

3. Attach bouquets of flowers to each pew with beautiful fabric bows for an gorgeous decorative touch at the ceremony, as Mindy did at the Four Seasons Biltmore. Tulips are shown here, available in season and in bulk at BunchesDirect, but other favorite flowers would be dazzling also. If you want to keep things elegant, stick to one color and one type of bloom for more impact.

4. Embellish accents like this small section of fencing at an outdoor wedding, using fresh greens and flowers. Blooms such as white or cream roses, godetias, lisianthus, peonies, green hydrangeas, and greens such as eucalyptus or palm fronds would all make amazing floral accents. Buy in bulk and attach with floral wire! Hang vintage lanterns for an even more romantic effect.

5. Buy bulk roses in pastel shades like cream, pink and lavender for a simple but beautiful way to embellish the seating card table, as Mindy’s team did at the Hotel Bel Air.

6. Don’t overlook the details! Even small touches can have big impact on your guest experience. Buy bulk flowers such as roses or red ranunculus and add a simple, perfect bloom alongside the menus at your guest place settings.

It was a wedding fit for a princess, and literally took place at a royal palace. On July 10, hotel heiress Nicky Hilton married European banking billionaire James Rothschild at the beautiful Kensington Palace in London. Kensington Palace is the current home of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The wedding festivities kicked off with a supper Thursday at Spencer House in London, the residence of an ancestor of the late Princess Diana.

For her wedding day, Nicky, 31, wore a stunning $75,000 Valentino Haute Couture gown featuring a high neck, intricate lace, long sleeves and a gorgeous train.

She exited Claridge’s hotel with her father Rick Hilton en route to the wedding. And if you love Nicky’s regal bridal bouquet as much as we did, you will adore either a Vintage White or Pretty in White Bridal Bouquet from BunchesDirect (for hundreds less than what Nicky paid!)

Nicky paired the dress and her gorgeous white bouquet with a dramatic cathedral veil, channeling memories of other regal brides such as Grace Kelly or the Duchess of Cambridge. Her shoes were custom Christian Louboutin’s featuring her wedding date and “Mrs.Rothschild” embroidered on them.

Older sister Paris Hilton served as maid of honor, looking demure and lovely in a pale blue chiffon gown with a ruched bodice and gold belt. Mother Kathy also wore a pale blue dress with an embroidered skirt. Nicky’s extended family including her aunt Kyle Richards from Housewives of Beverly Hills were in attendance.

The ceremony took place in the Orangery, part of an outdoor garden on the palace grounds, in front of formally dressed family and friends. Guests included Naomi Campbell, Chelsea Clinton, and Kate Beckinsale, according to reports in Us Weekly.

Nicky was married before (briefly) to New York businessman Todd Meiser. That wedding was a quickie union at the Las Vegan Wedding Chapel, and the marriage only lasted three months. Let’s hope marriage number two is a better match!

Nicky and James are currently honeymooning in exotic Botswana. Nicky recently posted a photo on her Instagram account of an elephant encounter, though she looked calm and casual despite the proximity.

We loved Nicky’s fairytale English wedding and we wish she and James the best of health and happiness. Wealth? They have it covered! :)

Well much of the fashion world went into buzzing overdrive the minute Lady Gaga announced her engagement. What would this fashion diva actually wear down the aisle on such an important day? After all, Mother Monster has famously (or infamously) rocked everything from feathers to bubbles to meat, so there is no telling what she kind of statement she might want to make on her wedding day.

Image from Popsugar.com

Gaga, 28, got engaged to Taylor Kinney, 33, this past Valentine’s Day weekend after he proposed to her and presented an inscribed, heart-shaped diamond ring. She and Kinney first met in 2011 while filming the video for her song You and I. After a brief split in 2012 they reunited and are soon headed for wedded bliss.

To prepare for her big day, Lady Gaga has just dyed her hair platinum blonde, suggesting she will forgo one of her signature wigs. She had good friend and stylist Patti Song achieve the new blonde look, documenting the process on her Instagram account.

For her choice of dress? Gaga vows, “it will be totally for Taylor. It’s all about my man. I haven’t really thought about anything specific yet, but whatever it is, it will be totally for him.”

“It will be totally for Taylor,” Gaga told WWD exclusively of her wedding dress plans. “It’s all about my man.
