Audrina Patridge and longtime love Corey Bohan may have taken eight years to actually tie the knot, but it was worth the wait!

Jana Dillon Photography/AKM-GSI

Audrina and BMX bike rider Corey wed in beautiful Hawaii on Saturday, November 5 in an intimate celebration with 100 close friends and family. Their fourth-month old daughter Kirra was also part of the special day!

Audrina shone in a lacy mermaid gown custom made by Pallas Couture. . She wanted their day to be romantic yet with bohemian elements and her gown with its beautiful French chantilly lace and sheer skirt fit the theme perfectly. Corey paired khakis with a crisp white shirt and suspenders which certainly lent a more casual vibe to the event. Audrina used red flowers to adorn her hair. We also adored the beautiful archway decorated with rich red and  pink blooms such as roses, garden roses, and ranunculus woven with seeded eucalyptus and other greens. Guest threw flower petals in the air to celebrate their love. (Hint: you can purchase your own bulk rose petals online, create this romantic vibe, and save!)

The bridal bouquets were gorgeous! Created by Steven Boyle Designs, they worked perfectly with the “bohemian” vibe as well as the glorious Hawaiian wedding location. They were a lush, artful mix with a “freshly gathered” feel that kept them from being too fussy or formal, while still providing plenty of romance with their rich color scheme.

Morgan Childs of Moana Events helped organize the day and the couple’s fun reception afterward. A very happy Audrina relayed, “I was so nervous, but as soon as I saw all of our friends, family and Corey, all I could feel was happiness and love everywhere.”

Carnations

Carnations are so beautiful and yet are often undervalued for their ability to enhance a bouquet or table arrangement. We have no idea why! Their sweet ruffled petals add true elegance, while being long lasting and surprisingly hearty after cutting. They come in a myriad of wonderful colors that can coordinate with many themes and palettes.Their general hardiness also means they work well in DIY creations too, like pomander balls, garlands and floral accent walls.

Alstroemeria

Alstreomeria, also known as Peruvian lilies, are one of the most delicate and lovely flower choices and yet are surprisingly affordable. Their sweet, heart-shaped petals add romance and delicacy to any bouquet or centerpiece. They come in several popular colors and have an interesting two-toned variation that adds depth and interest.

Baby’s Breath

Baby’s Breath, or Gypsophilia, is a wonderfully airy and beautiful flower that can create amazing cloud-like effects for table and venue decorating as well as for bridal bouquets. Most people think of it in white, but it does also come in soft pink. It can be combined with other romantic flowers such as roses or lilies, but don’t overlook its impact when used all on its own.

Chrysanthemum

Many of us simply call them “mums,” to refer to these beautiful and generous blooms. Chrysanthemums come in rich colors and have a full, exotic appearance that can lend a lot of impact and texture to bouquets and arrangements. They can be combined with other flowers for an “elegant” presentation or kept minimal and vivid for a more rustic or informal event.

Daisies

There is little else to match the lovely daisy for sweetness, innocence and cheerful beauty. Daisies have been a cherished flower for centuries and have long held romantic connotations. They are especially suited to informal events and outdoor venues, such as barn or beach, and to themes like boho chic or rustic. Use them in different colors to further enhance your decorating.

Gerbera Daisies

Cheery and bright gerbera daisies are great bang for buck! Their large size and textural quality create a lot of visual impact even if fewer blooms are used. They come in vivid and modern colors that are especially well suited to rustic weddings, boho chic themes, outdoor venues, or anything where a cheery and modern impact is needed. They also pair well with other flowers such as roses or carnations.

Coming soon, you will also be treated to a FREE $50 BunchesDirect gift card at any Best for Bride store, when you purchase your gown! For now, please enjoy these great tips from Best for Bride!

The bouquet is a very important accessory for your bridesmaids. So, you should pay attention to choosing the right shape, size and flowers in these bouquets, so they contribute to the overall wedding scenery. Best for Bride suggests that prospective brides keep the following factors in mind when choosing bridesmaids bouquets, so they come together beautifully and have maximum visual impact.

Know the best color options

Photo from projectwedding.com

You may be tempted to match the flowers to the dress color you picked for your bridesmaids. This may not be a good idea as flowers of the exact color will be lost in the background of the dress. The better option is to choose flowers that are a few shades darker or lighter than the dress color. If you do not want a monochromatic bouquet, the options are endless. Look to the color wheel for inspiration. When your chosen flowers and bridesmaid dress color are opposite to each other on the color wheel, the contrasting combination will make them pop. Using complimentary colors that are close to each other, like blue and green or yellow and orange, will create a relaxed effect.

Match the silhouette and style

The bouquet shape and size should reflect the style of the dress. Snug-fitting, well shaped gowns look best with small, sleek bouquets, while layered dresses with volume go well with round bouquets.

Also balance the colors and details in the bouquet to the dress design. For a simple dress, you can use more colors in the bouquet. However, if the bridesmaid dress has details like prints, embellishments or waistbands, keep the bouquet simple so the overall look isn’t cluttered.

Choose the right size

Classic White Calla Lily Bouquet

Unless the bouquet size is proportionate to that of the bridesmaid holding it, it will not look good. If the women in your bridal party are of different sizes, you may like to match individual bouquets to the woman carrying it.

A bouquet that is too large can be overwhelming on a small frame, while a tiny bouquet may not be the best accessory for a woman with a large frame. A medium-size bouquet would be better for the bigger women in your bridal party, while you can go with small ones for the rest of the group.

Co-ordinate the bouquets with your own

Classic Pink Tulip Bouquet

Your bouquet and the bridesmaids bouquets should form a cohesive look. You can achieve this by choosing scaled-down versions of your own bouquet, for them. Or you can have a unifying element, like a matching accessory that ties it together.

The other option is to fit the different bouquet designs to a single color or design theme that brings it all together. BunchesDirect has different sized bouquet options in the same group, in bridal, bridesmaids, flower girls, and even toss bouquet sizes, so it’s easy to create a cohesive look. BunchesDirect also has coordinating boutonnieres and corsages to complete the look.

There is something so enduring and romantic about getting married at the beach! Beach weddings remain one of the most popular types of celebrations. Couples can opt to keep things super casual and low key, joining with family and friends in a relaxed and informal day, or they can opt for a more formal affair with elegant touches including a tent and a sit down meal at another location. Beach wedding flowers can be vibrant and fun, or pale and elegant depending on the overall goal and theme of the event.

Seashells, starfish and small anchors are the perfect choice to accent your beach wedding flowers and tables. They are readily available at dollar and craft stores and are easy to add to a vibrant bouquet, to scatter on tables, or to add to your centerpieces. (Mini starfish are also very sweet for attaching to your guest place cards.)

You can even use sand and seashells to fill inexpensive glass vases for your beach themed centerpieces. Order beautiful bulk flowers to fill the vases.

Two of the most iconic color schemes for beach weddings are blue and white, which gives a more nautical, crisp air, or tan and white, which evokes images of sand and bright sun. Try beautiful blue centerpieces and bouquets from BunchesDirect, such as Classic Blue Hydrangea bouquets, Heavenly Mist bouquets, or Blue Hydrangea Centerpieces.

Building a wedding arch or even a small canopy of some kind helps set apart the place for your vows during the ceremony. This clever construction evokes the idea of driftwood. Use beautiful fresh bulk flowers to decorate your arch and give it that special touch. Try white roses (sold by the stem or by the box at BunchesDirect), or white carnations if you love what’s shown!

Another amazing idea for your beach wedding flowers is to order beautiful bulk flowers and create a heart on the beach to surround the wedding vows. A high contrast color like red will work nicely and lend an added touch of romance. Try red roses, red ranunculus, or red gerbera daisies. You could even do this using bulk red rose petals!

Mariah Carey announced her engagement on January 21 to mega-billionaire James Packer, and knowing Mariah’s over-the-top personality this wedding is looking to be bigger than some royal nuptials. According to RadarOnline.com, Mariah “wants it to be the most expensive wedding of all time,” in a celebration to rival that of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Packer proposed to her on her home turf of Long Island, New York.

Photo from abcnews.go.com

Other sources suggest that Mariah wants a summer wedding, and that boyfriend James is picking up the entire tab. Considering he is worth approximately $4.7B this is probably a fair plan. Her engagement ring is stunning: a massive diamond approximately 35 carats in size worth a reputed $8M, from jeweler Wilfredo Rosado.

Photo from XPosure.com ukdaily.co.uk

The pair have been dating since June 2015 and reportedly fell in love last summer when Mariah, 45, visited James, 48, on his super yacht, Arctic P., off the coast of France.

Photo from People.com

The couple spent Christmas vacation in Aspen and enjoyed time with Mariah’s four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, her children with former hubby Nick Cannon.

New rumors are now circulating that the pricey pair want to be married in Australia, where casino-owner Packer is from, or else in the south of France. to pay homage to where they met. (These are the kinds of problems to have!). Packer hails from a media mogul family and is reputed to be one of the richest men in the country.

There is little doubt that wherever the couple decides to wed, Mariah will hire the best wedding planners and expect top service and a spectacular event.

Even in her first wedding, to Sony exec Tommy Monroe, she spent a reported half million, which translates to abuot $800k in today’s dollars. We can only imagine the virtually unlimited budget she has for this wedding.

According to the latest sources, Mariah wants thousands of white roses and lots of bling at the event.  White roses are always a stunning choice! If you love white roses but don’t happen to have a billionaire budget, BunchesDirect has lots of options for you.
