Ribbon Vase with Bright Blooms

countryliving.com

Buy a square tin from the dollar store and hot glue on ribbons in various pretty colors to coordinate with your theme. Choose brightly colored flowers such as these pink peonies, pink tulips, red roses, and bright green verbena to create some gorgeous visual “punch.” This effect is more casual and festive, so it would suit a variety of venues and less formal themes.

Dreamy Driftwood

BridalGuide.com

If you have having a beach or farm wedding, you can make a very creative table display out of a piece of old driftwood, lumber, or an interesting tree branch. Drill holes for the flowers and order up a selection of your favorite blooms such as bold dahlias, pretty roses and dainty ranunculus. You can use slim bud vases or even beakers to hold water for your flowers.

Pumpkin Vase Centerpieces

Womangettingmarried.com

If you are having a fall wedding or event, using pumpkins for vases combined with warm orange-toned flowers creates the perfect touch! Remove pumpkin tops, thoroughly clean and hollow out space inside, and add tin cans or other plastic containers to hold the water. Choose flowers such as orange calla lilies, coral roses, or orange gerbera daisies to enhance the autumn effect.

Above and Below

Womangettingmarried.com

Create a long linear centerpiece effect with flowers and greens and keep your flowers all the same color, such as this clean white selection. For extra-amazing effect, hang separate blooms such as white carnations from clear fishing wire overhead. Your guests are sure to be amazed and your event will be the talk of the town.

Stacked Plexiglass

Poshpurpose.com

Purchase plexiglass boxes from a craft or organizer store. Fill each one with a different variety of flower. For most impact, place one flower type in uniform color in each box, coordinating the overall color choices with your other decor accents. Stack the boxes– and bingo, you will have one of the most creative centerpieces at any event, with very little effort!

So many of us grew up wearing out our VHS tapes, watching Disney movies over and over, and their appeal has never waned. Disney’s most recent remake of Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson as Belle is a huge hit.. As of the end of March the movie had smashed box office records and earned $750M worldwide. Disney movies have already inspired a line of wedding dresses and other accessories (click to read more about what flowers pair well with Disney dresses),

If you are a Disney lover, now that you are all grown and ready to marry your own Prince Charming don’t miss these fabulous ideas for how to incorporate these fairy tale elements into your wedding flowers.

Cinderella

If you love Cinderella, source these sweet faux coaches for your table centerpieces. Select beautiful pink and white roses and delicate flowers such as pink alstroemeria or white hydrangeas to complement this look.

Source some sparkly pumpkins as a cute nod to Cinderella’s coach before it was transformed by magic, and complement the look with some lovely pink and white vases on either side. Sweet and simple!

For your bouquets, consider continuing the pink and white Cinderella theme with some FairyTale or Pastel Sparkle Bouquets, or perhaps a Touch of Pink or a Subtle Beauty Centerpiece if you are less DIY inclined.

Continue the theme by using “Be Our Guest” on invitations or signs around the venue. Consider these sweet teacup centerpieces and some books to represent Belle’s love of reading. In this case, the purple roses and purple alstroemeria add the perfect fairy tale touch.

Mickey Mouse

If old school Disney, with Minnie and Mickey Mouse is more your thing, then consider these cute Mickey centerpieces. These are also surprisingly easy to make. Floral Table Runners

Photo from tablerdecoratingideas.com

More couples or event planners are opting out of traditional centerpieces in vases in favor of the more “wild” and unstructured look of a floral table runner. You can DIY this too: simply pick your fave flowers and greens and artfully arrange them down the middle of your tables. Your guests are sure to be impressed!

Flower Colors: Neutrals plus Bolds

Forever Connecting BunchesDirect

Blush continues to be hot for 2017, especially when you pair a relative neutral such as blush, cream or white flowers, with a more saturated hue. Think cream paired with deep burgundy blooms, rich coral paired with pale dove accents, blush paired with hot pink or red. Mixing light with dark flowers gives life and energy to your arrangements and will keep things looking fresh and current.

Creative Containers

Photo from modernwedding.com

We are also seeing more use of containers such a lanterns, mercury glass globes vases, vintage etched glass jars, or gold footed vases instead of more common looking vases. Again, creating a unique, unstructured ambiance or old world charm is a great way to go in 2017.

One of the most popular wedding and event themes of the day is certainly “bohemian,” “shabby” or “vintage” chic.” It’s also one of our faves for flowers — this theme provides ample choice of flower type and color and lets you get especially creative with your choice of container or accents. This theme provides a relaxed and very pretty atmosphere at any wedding or event. We’ve gathered some great tips to help you plan.

Venues

Bohemian chic is suited to a variety of venues but seems especially appropriate for outdoor garden, woodland or rustic settings. The vibe should never be too stuffy or monochromatic and even if not outside, ideally your venue will contain natural element such as greenery, wood, and yes, lots of fresh flowers! The more flowers and greens the better to create a lush and layered “bohemian” look.

Flower Colors

Boho chic themes work in a variety of colors. You could go very bohemian and use rich jewel tones of all kinds, which cultivates a warm and liberated almost “carnival” atmosphere.

Shown left: Rich red calla lilies, orange dahlias, and bright yellow sunflowers combine with the dark blue lanterns and colorful woven table runners to create a visual feast.

Shades of pink and white with green or teal accents also work well with a boho theme, and a garden or woodland setting. Think antique dressers, woven hearts, vintage candlesticks, ropes of pearls,  and a lush, romantic vibe. Daisies, roses, hydrangeas and peonies would work well. Be sure to order plenty of flowers as they are a key component of  any boho event.

DIY Floral Accents

The more relaxed style of boho chic is perfect for the do-it-yourself type! Get creative and make your own centerpieces. This theme does not call for perfect and precise but let’s you express yourself in without fuss or formality.

Audrina Patridge and longtime love Corey Bohan may have taken eight years to actually tie the knot, but it was worth the wait!

Jana Dillon Photography/AKM-GSI

Audrina and BMX bike rider Corey wed in beautiful Hawaii on Saturday, November 5 in an intimate celebration with 100 close friends and family. Their fourth-month old daughter Kirra was also part of the special day!

Audrina shone in a lacy mermaid gown custom made by Pallas Couture. . She wanted their day to be romantic yet with bohemian elements and her gown with its beautiful French chantilly lace and sheer skirt fit the theme perfectly. Corey paired khakis with a crisp white shirt and suspenders which certainly lent a more casual vibe to the event. Audrina used red flowers to adorn her hair. We also adored the beautiful archway decorated with rich red and  pink blooms such as roses, garden roses, and ranunculus woven with seeded eucalyptus and other greens. Guest threw flower petals in the air to celebrate their love. (Hint: you can purchase your own bulk rose petals online, create this romantic vibe, and save!)

The bridal bouquets were gorgeous! Created by Steven Boyle Designs, they worked perfectly with the “bohemian” vibe as well as the glorious Hawaiian wedding location. They were a lush, artful mix with a “freshly gathered” feel that kept them from being too fussy or formal, while still providing plenty of romance with their rich color scheme.

Morgan Childs of Moana Events helped organize the day and the couple’s fun reception afterward. A very happy Audrina relayed, “I was so nervous, but as soon as I saw all of our friends, family and Corey, all I could feel was happiness and love everywhere.”

ff you love Audrina’s wedding flowers, check out bulk red roses, seeded eucalyptus, pink garden roses and pink ranunculus from BunchesDirect. We’ve all heard of “landscape” as in “all the visible features of an area of countryside or land, often considered in terms of their aesthetic appeal” (yes, we broke out the dictionary for this!). We all recall the powerful impact of standing at a particular site and taking survey of a gorgeous vista. When you are decorating your wedding or event, don’t overlook the importance of one of the key elements of your venue: your tables, and the view that your guests will have of them. The visible appeal you create with this “tablescape,” both from close up, when guests are seated, and from farther back, when guests first enter the room, can provide you with massive visual appeal at your event.

There are a few key elements to remember when creating your own tablescape. Flowers are always a key element so don’t forget to order enough to create your vision. Read on to ensure your success!

Different Heights

Photo from Chic Brown Brides

It’s important to vary the heights of your items. Include some tall elements such as candlesticks, lanterns or big vases, and also some lower elements such as votives, mirrors, small bud vases, or pretty napkin rings.

Varied Patterns and Textures

Photo from Housebeautiful.com

Choosing textiles, dishes and glassware in varied patterns, colors and textures is another surefire way to add lots of visual impact and interest to any tablescape. Don’t be afraid to mix and match so long as one aspect, such as a key color, is consistent.

Abundance is Awesome

Don’t be shy when setting up a tablescape. Adding in lots of interesting or unexpected elements will result in more visual appeal, and will also stimulate conversation between your guests. This woodland tablescape (above) has a lot of unique elements including fruit, wooden stumps with glass votives, taller candlesticks, wooden place settings, miss, bark and many other interesting touches.

Use the Space around the Table

Photo from Sandra Lee Tablescapes, Foodnetwork.com

Don’t overlook the ceiling above the table, or the space surrounding it. Some key decor elements can be layered in to create even more impact over the most “important” tables such as the head table at a wedding, or the buffet table at the event.

Bulk Flowers and Color

Photo from verandah.com

An easier way to create a tablescape with a ton of impact is to buy an assortment of fresh and beautiful bulk flowers. Simply arrange a generous array of blooms around your place settings for instant visual appeal. Choose vivid colors and high contrast with textiles for even more impact!

Bold and Monochromatic

Photo from Celebrate and Decorate

If you are not as into high contrast, sticking with all one color for your floral accents is another relatively easy way to create a successful tablescape. In the photo above, dishes and linens were kept white, and all flowers yellow. Again, vary the heights of your accent pieces for more visual interest, as was done with these tall and medium-sized pitchers as vases, flowers in the low teacups, plus the loose flowers resting on each place.

Flowers, and more Flowers

Photo from BridaMusings.com

We said it before, but we will say it again– don’t overlook the impact of fresh flowers! Flowers will provide instant color, texture, freshness and beauty to anchor any tablescape. Don’t be afraid to order plenty; if you choose a reputable online vendor you can achieve gorgeous results at a low price.
