1. Rose petals on the aisle don’t have to be one color scattered along a traditional white runner as you see at so many events. Feel free to mix it up!

Create a dramatic ombré effect with gradients of colored rose petals, or mix complimentary colors for vibrant impact. Check our Pinterest page for more Creative Rose Petal Ideas.

2. Your bridal bouquet is a perfect place to add a very personal touch, such as a family heirloom.

You could add an antique brooch, locket, war medal, small framed photo, or a vintage coin—anything goes if it is meaningful to you and to scale with the flowers.

3.. Make your bar spectacular! Have a customized ice block created with beautiful flowers frozen inside, such as carnations, gerberas, or calla lilies in varied colors.

You could also serve signature cocktails that have edible flowers either frozen in ice cubes, or added to the swizzle stick for a truly gorgeous garnish.

Edible flower suggestions: Roses and rose petals, carnations, chrysanthemums, snapdragons, sunflowers, and lilac would all be safe to use.

All are available in bulk at BunchesDirect!

4. Use beautiful and elegant floral touches to create a unique place card table. Add each card to the top of small vases with flowers that coordinate with your wedding theme. You could top each card with a flower cut-out for even more impact. Try lisianthus, garden roses, or cymbidium orchids for a sweet touch, all sold in bulk at BunchesDirect.

5.. Use floral crowns in creative ways too! Make a  crown or pretty garland (Check out our Blog to find out how to DIY your own Floral Crown) and adorn your wedding pets!

You could use floral crowns or floral accents on statues as well, for a memorable and unique touch that is sure to create some smiles as the guests arrive.

6.. Suspend flowers, such as calla lilies, from lighting fixtures for a very dramatic look. You could also tuck mini calla lilies into each guest napkin to echo the theme.

7. Mix your flower colors to create vivid impact with your table settings. Don’t feel you have to stick to one color of flower for your centerpieces and accents. Selecting contrasting colors can add a big visual punch that makes your table a lot more memorable and unique.

8. Same rule applies for your bridesmaid bouquets! There is no hard and fast “rule” that says they all have to match. You can express your own creativity by mixing flower colors to create a more creative palette.

Four Seasons LA Amy & Stuart Photography

1. Use bouquets as a floral display or centerpiece at the reception. At the Four Seasons in Los Angeles, Mindy used simple bridal bouquets and artfully displayed them in glass vases of various shapes. Keep your flowers all one color and the vases clear to make this display work despite the different flower types and vase shapes. White lisianthus, hydrangeas, orchids or mini calla lilies would all provide the elegant impact. All these blooms are available in bulk at BunchesDirect so you can make your own bouquet arrangement just like Mindy’s. We also provide you with ready-made bouquets for added stress relief. Try Classic White Hydrangea bouquets, for example, and you are ready to go!

2. Centerpieces don’t have to be elaborate to have a lot of “wow” factor. These gorgeous centerpieces were also made for the Four Seasons LA, out of artfully arranged calla lilies and beautiful white roses twined over a glass candelabra. Simple, but so stylish!

Four Seasons Biltmore Figge Studio

3. Attach bouquets of flowers to each pew with beautiful fabric bows for an gorgeous decorative touch at the ceremony, as Mindy did at the Four Seasons Biltmore. Tulips are shown here, available in season and in bulk at BunchesDirect, but other favorite flowers would be dazzling also. If you want to keep things elegant, stick to one color and one type of bloom for more impact.

4. Embellish accents like this small section of fencing at an outdoor wedding, using fresh greens and flowers. Blooms such as white or cream roses, godetias, lisianthus, peonies, green hydrangeas, and greens such as eucalyptus or palm fronds would all make amazing floral accents. Buy in bulk and attach with floral wire! Hang vintage lanterns for an even more romantic effect.

Hotel Bel Air Curtis Dahl Photography

5. Buy bulk roses in pastel shades like cream, pink and lavender for a simple but beautiful way to embellish the seating card table, as Mindy’s team did at the Hotel Bel Air.

6. Don’t overlook the details! Even small touches can have big impact on your guest experience. Buy bulk flowers such as roses or red ranunculus and add a simple, perfect bloom alongside the menus at your guest place settings.

We are all eagerly awaiting the upcoming marriages of some of our favorite celebrities! Some top celebs became officially engaged over the past few months, and we can’t wait to see the gowns, the cakes, the venues, and of course (best of all), the flowers!

For fun, E! recently decided to provide their idea of the perfect dress for some of these celebrity bride-to-be’s. You can check out the E! article for the full scoop. We decided it would be even more fun if we also provided our picks for the perfect bridal bouquet to go with each look. We hope these wedding looks will inspire you with some ideas for your own special day. We are proud that any of these bouquets would look amazing with Let us know what you think!

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga announced her engagement to Taylor Kinney in February 2015 and shared photos of her lovely heart-shaped ring. Their wedding date remains unannounced, though Gaga has been changing up her look of late which prompts rumors that the big day may not be as far off as originally thought. E! selected this sleek tuxedo from Donatella Versace, or this beautiful Naeem Khan beaded gown.

BunchesDirect bouquet pick: Crimson Dream would provide a hit of the drama that Mother Monster loves, and would be a wonderful addition to either of these wedding outfits.

Crimson Dream Bouquet

Sofia Vergara

Sofia Vergara of Modern Family fame is engaged to hunky actor Joe Manganiello. Apparently wedding plans are underway for the happy couple and we can’t wait to see what this beautiful actress decides to wear on her wedding day. Sofia loves the strapless mermaid silhouette, so it’s little surprise that E! selected this Romona Keveza gown from the spring 2016 collection for the star’s ideal bridal look.

BunchesDirect bouquet picks: Classic White Orchid, or Pretty in White bridal bouquets would be perfect complements to any strapless, lacy gown.

Pretty in White

FKA Twigs

Recently engaged to Robert Pattinson of Twilight fame, and a singer/songwriter/dancer diva in her own right, Twigs walks to the beat of her own fashion drum and would probably opt out of the ultra-traditional look for either gown or flowers. E! selected this creative Alexander McQueen gown for Twigs and we love the unconventional detailing.

BunchesDirect bouquet pick: Stunning Princess, or Pink Passion bouquets would provide the exotic “wow” factor that might appeal to FKA Twigs for her special wedding day look.

Stunning Princess

Pink Passion

Zooey Deschanel

It’s been an exciting time for Zooey, with her first baby on the way and her January announcement of her engagement to baby daddy Jacob Pechenik. E! pictured Zooey in a stunning, tiered ball gown from Oscar de la Renta and we can definitely see Zooey rocking this feminine look.

BunchesDirect bouquet picks: The ultra feminine Fairytale Beauty, or the delicate Pink Doll bridal bouquets would look divine with this full-skirted ballgown.

Fairytale Beauty

 Courtney Cox

Let’s see if the second time is the charm for actress Courtney Cox, who starred in such hit shows as Friends and Cougar Town. Courtney was married to and divorced from fellow actor David Arquette, who has since re-married in his own right. Courtney became engaged to rocker Johnny McDaid at her best pal Jennifer Aniston’s house in September 2014. Apparently Courtney’s daughter Coco is helping plan the wedding. E! chose this elegant and slightly daring J. Mendel gown in blush pink as the perfect look for Courtney.

BunchesDirect bouquet picks: Fade into Me, or Peach and Pink bridal bouquets would both be lovely final touches to this gorgeous gown.

Saturday June 13 marked the day for another exciting Royal Wedding! Prince Carl Philip, 30, of Sweden married longtime girlfriend Sofia Hellqvist, 36, in the chapel at the royal palace in Stockholm. Sofia is a former reality star and model, now a bona fide member of the Swedish royal family and officially titled Princess Sofia. Prince Carl Philip is third in line to the throne behind his elder sister Crown Princess Victoria and her daughter Princess Estelle.

photo from CNN.com

Sofia looked elegant and romantic in a white, v-neck dress with long lace sleeves and an empire waistline. The low back of the dress revealed the star-shaped tatoo she sports between her shoulder blades (definitely a more modern touch for a royal bride). Her cathedral length veil was secured with a diamond and emerald tiara, and her hair was elegantly arranged in a bun gathered low on her neck.

Prince Carl Philip is a military officer and, as if being a naval officer wasn’t swoon-worthy enough, a race car driver. He was a perfectly groomed “Prince Charming” in a black military dress tuxedo with a white hat.

Sofia and Prince Carl Philip wed in front of a select group of family and friends, including several other Royals such as his parents King Carl Gustaf IV and Queen Silvia, as well as royals from Norway, Japan, and England (shown above are Prince Edward and wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex). The official wedding portrait (below) shows all the distinguished VIP guests in their glittering finery.

During the ceremony Prince Carl Philip had a moment of apparent nerves and had difficulty placing the ring on Sofia’s finger—check out this cute video to see for yourself.

From CNN.com

After the ceremony the fairytale couple greeted the crowd outside the palace while riding in (of course!) a horse-drawn carriage. They then returned to the palace to enjoy their reception along with 300 guests. The Prince made a speech to new wife Sofia that was heartfelt and simple, as he attested, “Today I am the happiest man in the world. Sofia, you fill my life with love and happiness. With your love I will be able to overcome all challenges. Dear Sofia, I love you.” Sofia had written a song for her husband which was performed by Molly Sanden.

The flowers were a gorgeous, romantic blend of white, pale pink, and various shades of peach. Sofia’s bridal bouquets were a perfect “Cinderella” choice of blooms such as varied roses, peonies, and ranunculus, She included floral arrangements on gold stands, and masses of the romantic blooms heaped behind the altar during the ceremony.

A look back at some memorable (and perhaps less well known) celebrity weddings that featured—you guessed it—insanely gorgeous wedding flowers! We may not have the celebrity budget but we can create our own versions of these awesome celebrity looks. It’s also a great cost saving idea to buy flowers in bulk from a reputable online supplier and DIY. Many of these floral “looks” can be recreated on a smaller scale with some creative vision and a bit of effort that will be well worth it after all the compliments you receive!

Here is a look back at some of the most memorable celebrity “flower moments”…which was your favorite?

Amal Alamuddin & George Clooney: Floral Arch

Amal and George were married in Venice and can we say “wow’ to all the spectacular wedding flowers that were featured in this over-the-top event. They adorned the river boats with fresh flowers, lined rooms with flowers, created stunning tall arrangements to frame the ceremony, and had photos taken under a magnificent floral archway.

Click for tips on how to make a smaller version of your own floral arch.

Kim Kardashian & Kanye West: The Floral Wall

Well this one was truly jaw-dropping: for their Florence nuptials Kimye ordered up a massive wall of flowers to surround them during their vows. The wall was reputed to be 25 feet high, and loaded up from top to bottom with an amazing array of blooms including hydrangea, roses, spray roses, lisianthus and many more, all in shades of white. For more info on how to create your own DIY floral walls, check out our blog on Floral Backdrops.

Ivanka Trump: Centerpieces by Preston Bailey

Amazing! These centerpieces and other tabletop florals were designed by the venerable Preston Bailey and his team, and they were over-the-top gorgeous! The florals were the star of this Trump wedding which took place at (where else) Trump National Golf Course in Bedminster, New Jersey. If you love this wedding look, keep your own flowers to all cream or white, and opt to include blooms such as roses, hydrangea, freesia, stephanotis, lilies, and lisianthus, to name a few key ingredients. For more Preston Bailey inspiration, check out his wonderful book called Preston Bailey: Flowers. His anecdotal stories from weddings and events (including those for A-listers like Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Hudson, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and others) are also sure to amaze. And speaking of Catherine Zeta-Jones…

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas: Floral Wedding Cake

In case you didn’t see it, this couple’s 1998 wedding at the Plaza Hotel in New York featured a spectacular multi-tiered cake covered with fresh flowers. Flowers on a cake don’t have to bust your budget. You can bake or buy a reasonably priced wedding cake and adorn it with beautiful flowers you can buy in bulk. BunchesDirect also has some ready-to-use floral cake toppers that you can buy and add to your own cake, for an even easier solution. After some rocky times and separations, apparently the couple is stronger than ever (we’ll see).

Browsing through celebrity photos can give you plenty of inspiration as a starting point for planning your own special event. Be sure to speak to a floral professional for even more assistance, or get a quote online based on your ideas.

If you are planning a wedding or a special event, you are probably looking for ways to create a unique and memorable guest experience. One way to show your guests how special they are is to send them home with a more unique and beautiful guest favor. Using fresh flowers to create something out of the ordinary is a wonderful way to show how much you care, and to provide that added boost of “something special” to your table decor.

Check out these wonderful ways to create your own DIY floral guest favors.

Floral Place Cards: Use small bundles of fresh flowers, tied with some pretty ribbon, as place tags for each guest. After the ceremony, guests can take home their mini-bouquet for a lovely and aromatic favor. Some flowers can be dried or preserved to create a lasting memory of your special day.

Personal Flower Market: Set up a beautiful “flower market” as a lovely accent at your wedding. Invite guests to take home a few flowers to create their own bouquet as a memento of your special day!. Everyone wants to sneak home the centerpiece but this way you are letting them make their own bouquet keepsake. You could have pretty ribbons or custom bags available for the guests to secure and take home their lovely blooms. This is an easy and visually stunning addition to your wedding. It also doesn’t have to break the bank if you purchase an array of bulk flowers from a low-priced online vendor such as BunchesDirect.

Take home Centerpieces:  Everyone wants to sneak home the centerpiece, so why not let them create their own miniature version? Set pretty bags by the guests’ places. You can create lovely customized bags that are personalized with your wedding information, or buy beautiful pre-made options.(Check out Esty for some great ideas). With your encouragement, guests can then slip out some of the centerpiece flowers to take home for their own enjoyment.

Bridal Shower Teacups: Buy mini teapots, cups or bowls from a dollar store or other craft store and arrange mini bouquets in each, for bridal shower guests to take home with them. This bouquet includes ranunculus and plum blossoms but the choice is endless! Click for a great DIY tutorial on how to make the bouquets. Your guests can keep the teacup as a sweet memento of the event!

Floral Wrapping: Even if you are passing out traditional boxed guest favors, adding a sprig or two of fresh flowers with pretty ribbon will give your gifts a special elegant touch.
